Are air rifles legalto hunt gophers in Montana?

Anyone tried it?

Been watching guys in puerto rico shooting hundreds of Iguana s with air rifles.  Like gopher shooting only bigger and uglier.  maybe we need a winter  PRIAWDS?

That does look like fun!!!
There are a Lot of 100 yard air guns on the market now days,
from .177 to.45.
Most any would work fine for gopher work.
I just don't know how much razzing it would bring down on your head.
Bear if you bring 2 or 3 we could all try them out .

As in GAME hunt, I'm not sure.
We have no caliber restrictions , There for I kinda think they would be .
As far as varmints and predators Anything goes....

Near as I can make it, only licensed game has any regulation for eligible equipment. But those regulations only outline what is considered archery, rifle, and trapping. I'm not finding anything about caliber, cartridge, weight.

I'm in town & will stop by the Gish & Fame to ask.
