On news today it said Pres Trump signed a memo to start proceedings to outlaw BumpStocks!
I have no desire to own one...l have no practical use for one....just a way to burn through ammo quickly in my thinking. However....the door opens to BAN more practcal AR15 accessories if this happens. |

Sounds like a slippery slope.
But remember, if an exec order...it can be undone with the stroke of the POTUS pen.

Pointless restriction, on pointless accessory. You can do exactly the same thing, by just holding AR in loose grip, or any semi-auto for that matter.
It would be more effective to just outlaw murder and school shootings. |

Well now lets not start making people accountable! Perish the thought. Think of all those poor aggressors feelings and their rights. Those should be held paramount over these self proclaimed victims!
That was sarcasm. Just pointing it out as a disclaimer. Hate to think I would ever be liberally minded....or mindless.....same thing there actually. Slippery slope indeed, but common sense is rarely used in the making of laws. Though the ultra conservative approach is to do nothing and stand our ground on any type of reform or future vision and the other side wants to restrict all....sometimes, just sometimes, a certain amount of reason should be had. I absolutely love the modularity of these types of arms as well as others,(chassis). I cannot understand the reasoning behind certain features being marketed as their sole purpose allows for so much room for improper usage and carnage. At some point in time, prudence .......well that's a rant best taken elsewhere. |

I could be wrong, but I think a "bump stock" has been used in exactly one crime.
I don't have one either but if you want one I see absolutely no reason you shouldn't have one. I do kinda wonder if maybe they chose the Bump Stock because it should shut the liberals up (for a short time) and most people won't be effected. Not that I agree with any restrictive gun law, I don't. Wing master

The other side of the coin, the 2nd was drafted, to keep Government in check and prevent Tyrannical overreach. In order to keep Government in check, citizens should have access to same arms, as Government. As the Civil War proved, even access to the same type of weapons, isn't enough, because of Government's Resources and ability to raise money.
I propose, a refundable tax credit for buying arms, to level the playing field. |

I don't own an AR. never saw any reason to own one; other rifles do everything I need better. Slippery slope, sure, 10-22 next?
Most interesting in this post is trumpie, never a smart man, but this is just stupid beyond is minimal level. He losy most American votes to Hillary the crook. Only the NRA/2nd amendment group saved his poor bacon. If he takes an administrative stand against and gun/parts he will never win in 2020. what could the dude be thinking---if he is capabile of thinking!

I was making this exact point last night; once the true purpose of the 2nd Amendment is acknowledged, there is no logical argument for any sort of "gun control," whatsoever.
