I run a couple of forums, and as the PHP coding has updated over the years, all the forum software no matter the brand has dropped their spell checkers. The reason being is that as the various browsers have updated also, it is now available through them unless turned off in your browser settings.

Spell checkers within the forum require Ajax or other Javascript software and on a busy forum can place a load on the server.
