Actually he didn't .
I work a little every day on the WB I just took Saturdays off for hunting.
The drive is running, kinda noisy Lota chain turning .
I hope it gets a bit quieter as it wears in .
It's harder now then in hunting season It get darker sooner and
colder, both big things when your building in the "Big sky" garage.
As soon as I get the wiring working right on the trailer I'll wench it in to the shop to add the floatation pods put on.

BEAR you saw the cage I have, I'm adding more floatation to carry what I have ,so no HEAVY steel chain guards .
The set up I have now, 1 barrel carb, vac. advance dist. With the set up I have now I can get my 3 blade Competition Aircraft Ultra-Prop
with #11 pitch blocks to 2700 rpm on the motor which should be 2500 on the prop.
I have #18 that I would love to use.

This is prop running.

Well, I found out as you increase the hp and rpm the blades get pulled forward farther.
Far enough for some of my drive bolts to hit the prop...
Very slight but it does hit.
OK I've gotten some wonky stuff that's made to repair carbon fiber props, a fiber mat and special resin . Fixed it.
My wooden prop is thicker and, good thing we checked , would not clear at all.
Back to the drawing board...
Got it I think.
Flipped the sprocket around and moved the pillow block in.
I was able to cut off an inch and a quarter off the shaft and gained
an inch and a half.
I have the boat in the shop and can't spin the prop with the motor and keep the roof on.

Nice fix! good to have found that issue early on like this. Do you do all your welding with that wire feed unit you had some time back???  Using flux core wire or do you have gas set up?

When you get this one done, It shouldn't take any time at all to build a second one. You are figuring everything out on this one.

It really is looking good D.

The extra "flotation pods" look to be premade just for that function. Looks like you cut out an opening in top of pods to work for getting it bolted to the hull. One place for the silicone & then the bolt holes in main hull too. Use 'nuff of it!  Is it a guess or by design for that shape and size pod for what you need?  Looks neat so hope they give 'nuff extra "lift" so yer "ass" don't drag.ClapClapClap Good Job!
