How many of you would be interested in a day of prairie dog
shooting?

I definately would. Would this require a centerfire rifle
of some sort?

I like shooting PD's as much or more than most people. This is why it
pains me to be "That Guy" that says no.

I must admit I have never sat on a PD town with 8-10 guys. What I do
know is that with 3-4 it doesn't take long to shut it down especially if
they've been shot at before. With the long distances between killing
fields and the few decent days we have taking the weather into
account, I personally would rather spend my time persuing gophers. If
you are talking extra days outside the MYGAWDS weekend have at it.
I do not speak for anyone other than myself and am not selfish enough
to be pissy if the rest of the group wants to do this I will happily go
along with it. It is mostly about the comradery anyway.

Wing & DD;

What we were thinking of is possibly splitting the party
for that one day. Those that want to stay with gophers &
if anybody wants to do P-dogs, then D4570 would guide a
couple of you in on a site he knows of.

I'm with DD.

But remember:

some of us are flying in comm planes. so extra non-rf
gun can be difficult.

Some of us are retired slugs. I can stay the week and
hunt or fish every day. After $500 for a non-cancelable
ticket the daily cost is peanuts. BUT we need to know
plan before buying flight.

If I throw in a CF PD rifle, which I'll do, then no
buying at gun show. only one year I got 3 rifles on one
bag in plane (welcome Krag).

I love to hunt anything including PDs.

thoughts only.

Fella's;

Well, unless a contingent weighs in vociferously wanting to
shoot P-dogs, we'll keep it to gophers and sabre-toothed
ground squirrels.
