Seasons at our house change slow. this morning I took
a shovel and scooped up the soft pumpkin from the
front yard display.

took it around to the back and tossed it into the
wooded area smashing it in the lazy man's hope the
seeds would do it all by themselves for next year.

Took about 30 minutes till the deer smelled and
started visiting. From my computer so far 2 does,
followed by one buck, and then one fawn.

I never had whitetails eat cow pumpkins before. But
these seem to like the seeds and are chewing lots.

Now you'll have to follow them around until they poop out the seeds if you want next years pumpkins.

Well, they are in bow range.

Use your string tracker so you find it before your neighbors.

whitetails here DO like pumpkins...they ate all of mine , not just the seeds and the tomatoes + vines too along with the peppers and various flowers.

"whitetails ... ate all of mine"

Well, there's only one solution to that! Shoot 'em and eat 'em!

Good questions: If the deer eat all the pumpkins, do they then taste like pumpkins, and could you then make deer pie?
