Age might be clouding my judgement. But I find that
after 3 days of hunting (camp or tent) I need a day
off.

Heavy wind and rain Tuesday, made Wednesday in a motel
(two hot showers) my day off.

Still exploding PDs.

My tent had running water after it blew down. A rather damp night for
me on Monday.

spent the day in Chugwater WY.

This is a small town where there was a Buffalo jump.
Indians stampeded bison over a cliff and they fell
dead into a creek below. Indians thought the sound
was "chug" as they hit the water. Often so many fell
at one time they pile drove bodies deep into the creek
bottom; bones still being found.

Indians began to call the area "water at the place
where the buffalo chug." Whites adopted the Indian
name and called the area "Chug Springs" and later
Chugwater, WY.

Town had 12 populations back 10+ years ago...today
212. urban growth???

Spent most of today hunting PDs but had a dangerous
encounter with a mad JackaLope. It attacked but the
trusty 222 Rem hit it in the neck, DRT.

male.

Will be in Arches NP all day, no shooting unless
attacked by another Jackalope!

colonies with some for locals...but they are smarter
rats now.

Got to unpack today and supervise new garage door for
daughter.

Tomorrow is opening day of Senior doe season for
whitetails. Got to leave house at 4:45am. It is tough
but someone has to do it.

BEAR;

Deer/Elk opener is Saturday here. It's basically
unrestricted rifle season. The stick-n-string guys have
already had a coupla weeks to stir them up of course.
I'd like to see the fame & gish play fair & alternate
years for who goes first.

Going into town today with the bear skin, law requires me
to show it to the fame & gish.

Good luck to you on your hunt!

BEAR;

Yeah, that's a general tag, but no problem with that. It's
an OTC buy for $10.00 for resident old pharts.
