Picked up a new P220 SAO last month.
And with the P220 that is being retired. P220 SAO and P938. Have 4 now, P220 SAO, P220, both 45ACP, P229 40S&W, P938 9mm. Does that make an arsenal? :-? |

I'm curious why single action only?
Background is I carry a 9mm S&W M39 (ancient, bought it in '67), It is SA/DA. so I can shoot it DA for the first shot or SA. Does your SAO mean that you MUST cock it after each shot? if so what is the advantage? Target? I understand the police/military requirement of DAO. But SAO is new to me. Edited by BEAR |

It is carried in condition 1, cocked with safety engaged,
much like a 1911. I made the switch primarily so that the pistol I carry on duty and off function the same way. I carry the P938 off duty. Well, that and I wanted a new pistol. This made it easier to justify at home. I had originally thought about just going to the 1911, but I have about 6 holsters and 15 magazines for the P220, so all of that stuff can be used with the new one. Yeah, I kinda like Sigs. Huntin1 |

Nothing wrong with SIG. I've owned a couple, currently
carry an Ultra 1911. I prefer a higher grip than most SIGs afford. You sure have the brand covered. KP would approve. How accurate is that P938? |

Fella's;
I've got just one SIG, and that's probably all I'll ever have. It's not even a proper SIG, it's the 1911-22 made by GSG with the SIG name on it. When I was searching for a left-friendly carry gun I did a fair amount of research on the subject & at the time found two brands to have better ergonomics. They were Taurus & H&K. I decided on the H&K USP compact in .40. It's been on me pretty much daily since 1997 when I got it. Good gun, reliable, comfortable to carry in the Milt Sparks Exec's Companion IWB holster, and accurate. Yeah, it cost more than the Taurus, but it's proven it's worth to me over nearly 20 years. 900F Edited by CB900F |
