I guess my truck gun is still my S&W M39 single/double
action with checkered walnut grips.

Why is it my truck gun?...because I'm traveling now, 500
miles out of home with about 3200 miles to go...and the
39 is in the map pocket now!

Should be hunting hogs a few days, so I threw in 150 extra
rounds for 4 legged pigs.

You wouldn't find me hunting hogs with 9, even behind the ear, it's marginal. I hope you at least brought some +P+ loads.

So hog hunting...neck shot centered btwn shoulder and eye to hit the neck bone, I hear that's the best placement, but can be deceptively lower down than many might think.

I take brain shots. 2" behind eye slightly high. Brain
tissue exudes out off side.

Someone mentioned the S&W model 28. This is my 28-2. It
has a little more wear and would make a great truck
handgun.

The serial number is only a couple hundred after the model
28-1. Their is only one known 28-1.

Yea, that 28 looks like a good "anything" gun. Except maybe summer time beachwear CCW..

N frames are a little too big to conceal under a Speedo.
