Well it is Sunday and my son and DIL are up from Virginia, with a 3 year old and identical twin 6 month old blue eyed girls.

Son and DIL took the 3 year old to a kid park and water park about 1.5 hours away.  Granny and I are the Special-sitters-in-charge.  Really pretty nice duty.I lift and carry and play with them; gram changes all brown diapers!

I get to cook, tough to normally rustle that task from my son or wife.

So I just put our dinner on the grill.

Chicken with beer up the butt.  I love this way of cooking chicken is super tender, and juicy.  I marinated two 3# for 5 hours using apple cider vinegar, barbecue sauce, and blend of spices.

I figure to bast them with olive oil some BBQ sauce and lots of black pepper.  They will come off the bone clean and juicy.

The meal will have tossed salad and grill roasted baby asparagus.

Both babies are asleep so I got to move and bast

BEAR;

As I type this, I have a "great deal of help" sitting in my lap.  The help is a 15 month old redhead who's been known to exhibit a temper if she doesn't get her own way.  Her twin, and her older sister are still napping, but this one is ready to hunt bear with a willow switch.

Later, 900F

took the grandson, 3 years old fishing today.  Went to a local pond  and used a bambo rod I made for his dad about 32 years ago this month.

Actually stood in the same place where my son caught his first fish, bluegill.  Grandson did the same and with the same rod.  got pictures of both, will scan the old one in if I can.   I kept looking at my grandson, but seeing my son; actually called him Adam as we walked back to the car and he insisted IMUST walk in his footprints (talk about memories).

Don't have any Grand Babies yet, still reminiscing the days when my kids were young and their first fishing, hunting trips.
Now you know your gonna have to teach them how to spit, cuss and fart properly!

Thanks Bear. That is really cool. I wish I would have had the forsight to have kept better track of my kids "firsts"

Thedad, I did take my second grandaughter outside and taught her how to spit. I thought it was pretty funny until we went back inside and she went right to the middle of the living room full of family members at my son's house. We were there for Thanksgiving. Yep, she did it. She spit right there in the middle of the floor.

Grandpa wasn't real popular for a little while.

Wing:
    I used to get in trouble all the time during holidays when one of my nephews was young. I always look back and laugh at myself!
