Rainy, cold and ugly outside, I got up at 4am to get wife to the airport.....I have a vacation week!

Thought I'd take the new P-22 to the range (indoor) for a few hours.  Got it out of the case.....no front sight.  Don't know where it went (I've not fired it yet).

anyone know how they fit on???

do I need a sight and a set screw??

Made by Walther, but sold in the USA by Smith & Wesson.  I have calls and emails into both organizations wanting new sight.

Guess I'll put on my rain coat and go to the State liquor store!  It could be a long week if this rain clears up.

Yep it is the Walther P-22.

Here is the reply I got from Walther.

I originally set the request for a new one through the S&W site.  Not sure how to talk to these pople!

Smith and Wesson will handle parts for the P22 until May. I would recommend contacting them for an order. If they do not have anything in stock we should be getting parts in around the middle of May.

Pm sent.

How did you get "extra" front sights?

Is there a real problem with the P-22?

How do they attach, all I have is a oblong hole??

Bear,

Smith & Wesson's customer service has a reputation for being great to deal with. I have seen very few people who have had any problems at all.

Try giving them a call. 1-800-331-0852.

I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
