Work issued me a Boker ceramic folder. It's supposed to stay sharp forever. I don't know about that though. It can't even be sharpened by anything but a laser at their factory, for a nominal fee. Why would they sharpen a knife that never needs sharpening?.......................................Kingpin

IBD, I bet he would use it to cut stuff.

Keep us posted KP. I have been really interested in a ceramic blade. If it really does stay sharp.

Glad someone I know is benefiting from federal outrageous expense.  Go for it KP, tell them you really need two!  And maybe some high end boots.  Obama admin will believe anything.

Enjoy.  Your welcome.Wink

They should sharpen it for free if they are that sure of their product. I mean, if it's guaranteed to stay sharp forever and it doesn't, then they replace it or sharpen it for you at no cost to you.

Can you use the blade to sharpen steel knives?  I use a ceramic rod, and have used ceramic light bulbs to sharpen with.

Ceramic is non-sparking. Some of the boxes we have to open could make a large hole where you're standing when you open them. I guess they just thought about it. Thats a good question Mule, I am going to try that, but maybe use the spine of the blad when I do. I really think you are on to something there............................Kingpin
