It's gettin' cold, fella's, so this is an anti-freeze topic.

2 oz. brandy, 6 cloves, 6 craisins, tblspoon honey, & a lemon wedge, 10 oz hot water.  Enjoy or die dammit!

And no, I didn't misspell raisin.  A craisin is a dried cranberry, it looks like a red currant & adds a nice flavor to the above toddy.

1 cup of coffee, 1 1/2 shots of Jamisons Irish whiskey, top with whipped cream, and a spot of creme de menth. Repeat as necessary until warm. It should only take one drink to warm up, and five to get thrown out of bed.......................Kingpin

I package of spiced cider mix, rum or bourbon to taste, add hot water to fill cup, stir.

Variation, add a half a teaspoon of butter rum mix (I like Harvey's but it's not available everywhere) to the above drink.

MMMMMM

On a hunting trip a few years ago...like in 1977...my dad, my friend, and I found that one hot toddy, two beers, and then one hot toddy is about the right ratio, even when it's cold.

CB, I just re-read your recipe because I am making it as we speak. Aren't you a little heavy with the water?? I rarely drink much water, fish screw in it...............................Kingpin

That is a lot of water! I'd start with 6 oz. and play with it from there. I like those dried cranberries though. I buy bags of them at Costco and toss some in my oatmeal.

I'm here to tell you that reversing the brandy with the water in CB's recipe "ain't the way to go." I had two of them mixed like that last night. I don't even know if I was cold or not after the first one, and I like strong drinks. I can't even tell you what I did last night, but it MUST have been harmless. The only thing I can remember is, my dog shaking her head at me as I made the second one and speaking in tongues. I woke up in the middle of the livingroom floor at 0500. You know, I feel sorry for people who don't drink, when they wake up in the morning, that's the best they are going to feel all day.................................Kingpin (humbled by brandy)
