I have a problem with my import camper. When the furnace is running, everything is warm except from my knees down. In other words, the floor area is always freezing cold even though my upper extremities are toasty warm. Could this be because there's a hole somewhere because i do have a couple of golf ball sized ones that need patching in the lower part of the camper. Also, my front roof vent was busted and i had just covered it with a garbage bag but i replaced the vent as of yesterday.

If you can sue McDonalds for getting you fat then why can't you sue the alcohol companies for all the ugly people you ended up sleeping with?

Heat is lighter than cool air so it rises, making your feet colder. plugging holes is always the first start. adding some carpeting (insulation) on the floor would help. Some furnaces have a air exhaust door on the bottom. like your home, it is best to add the warm air at the bottom, it rises keeping the temperature fairly uniform. A small fan blowing the warm air from the top of the ceiling down to the floor will help; it is like stirring the pot to get every part of the stew cooked. Sounds like your camper is vintage. I'd check the vent on the heat chamber to be sure all bad gas is going outside. a stick on fire/carbon mon detector is cheap insurance that it doesn't kill you while you sleep. |

I have carpeting on the floor and i also figured that the whole camper would heat up if the hot air isn't escaping from somewhere. I don't recall it ever doing this to me when i first bought it 5 years ago. In fact, because it's got cold air in there, my furnace never shuts off. It used to shut off when it got warm in there but not anymore and i don't think the thermostat is busted. My camper is a vintage model that was built in my town. It's a 1970 something Tri Star. Can you get good, strong battery powered fans as the plug is missing from the wiring that powers a camper? I used my lantern for light in there because of that.

Keep a vent open, always. I'd also strongly suggest a CO2 detecter. Can't offer any help other than don't die trying to keep warm
