In the 1980s Chet Atkins, arguably, one of the best guitarists of all time made an album with Mark Knopfler of the Rock Band "Dire Straights" arguably one of the best guitarists of the 1980s. The album titled "Neck and Neck" is one of my all time favorites. Here's a little sample.

Hope You enjoy it. RD

Good stuff man. I wore that LP out man!

Jeff Beck still gets my vote for best ever. Been cranking out riffs for 40 years! Talk about cross generational wow. He started out in the mid to late 60's. He played with to name a few. Yardbirds, Faces, Jan Hammer, and put out some of the most influentail albums of our times.

Seems like I have heard every big name axe man talk about how great he is and what an influance he had on them over the years. Clapton, both Von brothers, BB King, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Page. Just to name a few.

There sure some thing special about Mark Knophlers style too! And Chet well he was one of the best of all times for sure!!!!
