Since we blade lovers now have our own section, (Thanks, Ron!) thought I'd post a couple pictures of some of my favorites in my knife collection.

Wish I had more Damascus, but I don't.....I keep asking Santa, but he ignores me

Here's a threesome. I promise to do better on the lighting on future images! Top to bottom, Damascus Buck 110 Folder, 82nd Airborne Jumpmaster-Issue SwitchBlade and Custom-Made Randall Combat Fighter.

The Buck 110 Folder is a beauty with silvered bolsters and full Damascus blade. White stag handle. Original box and sheath.

Original Army Issue "Jumpmaster's Switchblade" from my time in the 82nd Airborne. Issued to Jumpmasters. Swithblade flicked out for one-handed cut-aways in case of hung-jumpers or entanglement. Curved hook-blade razor sharp for cutting away hung-jumpers's static -line, especially good when rolled in with previous jumper's lines trailing aircraft... hook 'em and cut 'em with a strong pull! The brass button on the left is the switch-action, the slide to the right of it a locking switch to prevent inadvertent openings in your pocket. Never had to cut away a towed-jumper, but it was a good blade in the field.

My custom "Randall Made" combat knife. Made to my specs, ordered back in '87 or '88. 440C Swedish tool steel 7-inch blade, full tang. Drop point, cutting side and point side both razor edged. Micarta handle with index finger hollow.

Perfectly designed for my hand, the knife will balance evenly on my index finger placed in the hollow. Has a hardened, edged pommel on the end with a 1/4 inch "skull crusher" nut screwed into the full tang blade.

This is a single-purpose knife designed by me and custom made to my specifications by Randall Knives.

I carried it during my times at war, and felt well protected by my training and this piece of equipment.
