Hey guys, what do you think about this. If I did get the Puma, then i would want to put a scope on it to wring out all the ability of the .454 Casull. What do you guys suggest for a scope? Have any of you done this before? Should i use a scout scope or a pistol scope?

In all honesty . . . I wouldn't buy the Puma . . . better rifles available from Winchester and Marlin.  I had a .357 1894 Marlin.  Never dreamed of putting a scope on it.  But . . . it could be done.  I HAVE wondered about some of the scopes like the Aim Point.  Might be good.  I DID see an excellent article in which they used a Scout-type mounting on a .450 Marlin.  Seemed to work out pretty good.  But . . . get other opinions.  Kingpin and Rob couldn't defeat me . . . even if they took their skirts off . . . dream on.

jeff - get whichever rifle "speaks" to you, but i agree with fred. a winchester, or better yet, a marlin in one of those big-bore chamberings would, in my opinion, be a better way to go!

anyway, to the scope, if you are looking for a nice one, i have recently been using a leupold m8 scope in 2.5x. i would really prefer more magnification myself (4x), but for your purposes, either would be great. give it a look-see and judge for yourself. i have been impressed, and i am NOT much of a leupold man.

Pocket, in all honesty, Kingpin and Rob1 could kick the sh*t out of you. Judging from the way you attack people here, it shows that you are a frail bastage who is just trying to make up for it by talking big. I probably wont get the Puma, but i have been thinking about those scout scopes. Wouldn't be too bad on a Winnie 94 in .45 LC now would it.
