For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas to all BSBs!

I don't mean to be disagreeable.  God made me that way.  I suppose He had his reasons.

You know, Bambi and Thumper had more to do with the rise of anti-hunting sentiments in the general population than any other media event.

Merry Christmas back atcha.

Two things; first, Merry Christmas to us all. Second, Mule when did you get religion? Until now, you have been a non-believer even when we told you you were wrong. I for one am glad to welcome you back into the world of eternal life..........Kingpin

Like the hymen of a homley nun, my lack of a superstitious nature continues to be intact.  I'm not convinced there is an afterlife, but I am convinced that in general, people need to believe in an afterlife to get by and remain ethical.  All's I got to say is if the Messiah returns, as is how the story is supposed to go, he better bring a better bag of tricks and plan on using them.  Otherwise, he'll be locked up.

Mule. No offence, but I will be praying that God opens your eyes. I to was a nonbeliever at one piont, but God made himself so real to me that I could no longer hold to my disbelief. And I believe that he can do the same for you.

Also even if you don't believe in Christ and his deity. I do wish you and yours the best Christmas season ever, and a happy new year!

I enjoy Christmas as much as anyone.  Being with the family, eating, giving presents, eating, time off work, eating.  This year, I got an extra special gift from my son and daughter-in-law.  My card had a sonogram of a new little grandbaby due in July.  My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter is going to be a big sister.  Probably the most joy in my life is watching my son become such a good father and husband, and watching his child be so happy and nurtured.  The stack around the Christmas tree had been shrinking over the years.  Now it's growing again.  Heck, I'm even putting together toys again and dealing with those infernal instructions.  Good thing there's food.

I know the feeling brother. Christmas was pretty dead around my house after my wife died, but now I have a grandson Zac who is going on 5, and Leah has a new man in her life with 2 boys of his own. Man grandkids sure bring the joy back into the holiday season! I to am enjoying watching my daughter be the kind of loveing mother her mom was. It make life great to see Margarets work as a mother repeated in my daughter!

i am new to this site but am a lifelong friend or acquaintance of Ron. I lost my wife two weeks after our second son was born in 2005. I am still at odds with god i guess you'd say, but i know that family is all and no time makes that more painfully apparent than the holidays. without my two boys and the rest of my friends and family gathering round this time of year i wouldn't be able to get by it. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL (even the conservatives)

Welcome Nineball.

I'm sorry for your lose. As I have said I know this pain, and the healing process that you are going through. I will pray for you and your boys. Also that someday you will no longer be at odds with God for I know that is not his wish.

Welcome nineball.  You'll find that not all of us are stick in the mud social neanderthals.  Some of us are true fiscal conservatives, and couldn't care less to have government dictating who sleeps with who and how they worship.  In other words, the term "conservative" has become very loose these days, and you won't be offended by everyone here...at least not all the time.
