When i was getting my stove jack installed, i noticed a hole in the roof. I have a spare piece of canvas to patch it but is there a kind of canvas glue i can use to attach the spare piece over the hole sorta like a bike tire repair kit? Also what is the stuff called to spray on my tent that acts as a sealant against rain?

Gary

If you can sue McDonalds for getting you fat then why can't you sue the alcohol companies for all the ugly people you ended up sleeping with?

Realize this is a late post, but I just joined up. Thought this might help others along the way. Tear Mender is one of the adhesives used by many of the tent makers I've dealt with. Works pretty well and lasts okay. Barge cement is another one that gets a fair amount of use. Canvak is a spray one canvas treatment that helps with water repellancy, and helps protect and prolong the life of the fabric. Comes in quarts and gallons, and can be applied with a garden sprayer. Another thing I recommend to anyone camping under canvas, is to get a Speedy Stitcher, and get good at using it. I sewed the roof jack in my first wall tent, an old army model, with one as well as many repairs. The roof jack took about a month of work on evenings, but turned out pretty well. The tent served me well for many seasons and hunts.
