dear everyone-
my uncle mike died in a deer hunting accident on september 30th. he shot a buck, lost his balance and fell 150 feet off a mountain that he knew like the back of his hand. my family drove up from san francisco to southern oregon to be with the family.. i flew out from memphis. uncle mike was a timber faller for 23 years. he left behind a wife (my aunt) and three kids (young adults). he loved three things. his family, hunting and fishing. i am asking for your prayers for the weaver family in this time of trial. my grandpa took it pretty hard. and if you could lift up the rest of my dad's side of the family too, they mostly live in the area and this situation is pretty shocking and sad. here are a couple of news articles. thank you and god bless.

and i know this sounds morbid to say, but at least he was having a good time. the last thing he did was make a perfect neck shot on a nice forked-horn blacktail.  (the savage 99F .308 went down the mountain with him and is damaged severely). i am so glad that he went out with a bang, doing what he loved.

Sam I think Tasunkawitko pretty well said it all, I dont think it was morbid at all, I can think of much worse ways to go, but still sorry for your loss.

Sam, Sorry to hear of your loss. We'll certainly keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. RD
