Taz,

When I was living on base in GF, I would go to the Archery range and try sticking a ground squirrel with my bow, but was never lucky enough. Those little suckers were never still enough for me to shoot at.

A group of us regularily head out for practice out in the gopher fields. We use range finders for the longer shots (60 yds +). For the tips we use zwickey "judo points". This is an awseome way to get out and practise prior to heading out to chase the big stuff.

My son and I use to do it with groundhogs (sort of a 5-12# gopher).  It is highly destructive to arrows, when you get a hit.  the arrow sticks in the groung and the hog part.  Result is a horseshoe shaped arrow.  But fun anyway.  Sort of a methode to use up last years deer arrows as they might have a very slight twist.

I've never had a 2-4 with a bow, but did get two with one pistol shot by lining them up (one at 30 & one at 60 yards) 30 Herrett.

It takes a lot of patients!

I got 2 when I was younger, 1 lived cuz the arrow just went under the skin I had a hell of a time getting the bugger off the arrow he kept bitting at my shoe.

Good practice also!

I've done it and it is a blast. My personal best day was 27 kills. But that was a field that had never ever been hunted before, and spring time when they are not as weary as later in the year. The wistle pigs where leting me get with in 10-15 yards. No one was shooting any guns anywhere near me so they just let me walk pretty close.

Used to, never got two at once though. It is alot of fun. I just don't seem to find the time anymore. Gonna have to make time one of these days.
