The "YOTE" shooting isn't here yet.

 The Gophers are in bed.

Ruck chucks go unattended.

Even the squirrels jump from tree to tree unimpeded.

 ??????????????

 I guess thats hunting season?

D4570: I have been whacking a few Varmints right along the last few months!

I too have been EXTREMELY busy scouting for Moose, Elk and Deer and then on to the Hunts themselves.

I shot quite a few Varmints on the Antelope opener over in eastern Montana and a couple weeks prior to that we snuck over Missouri Breaks way to shoot quite a few Varmints just as September started. I got Jack Rabbits and Priairie Dogs on that one.

In the last 60 days I have Skunk, two kinds of Rabbits, some flying Varmints, Prairie Dogs, a feral cat, one Porcupine and a Coyote.

I could have shot some Fox as well, but I am advocating that they be left alone here in SW Montana due to their near extinction from a massive mange wipe-out 4 and 5 years ago! They are slowly coming back here in SW and I am looking forward to when their numbers get up to "normal" and I can start calling and Hunting them again.

It is kind of slow this time of year Varmint wise mainly because of all the other things going  on like scouting, sighting in Big Game Rifles and actual Big Game Hunting, but slow Varminting is still fun Varminting for me!

Hold into the wind

D;

Who says "no coyotes" to you?!  I sez "shoot 'em, shoot 'em now, shoot 'im again".  If you want to go coyote hunting, let me know, I can put you on coyotes.
