Dang NH,
You want balance get a Red label, you want good craftsmanship get a browning. You want dependable fire power get a benelli. Beggers can't be choosers - your monkeyin around with gun's that cost under $400. Taking a guess you are also not fully grown, and thing's will change on how a gun pulls up.
Go to a remington, at least you get high resale.

Hmmm, the young Jedi does not state the guage of the BPS in question either. Perhaps he compared the apple to the orange?
Now where the hell is the emoticon icon for Yoda? Never can find what I want around this place. Why, when I was recruited here I was promised, promised I tell you, free beer, naked women, and adolation. Can't even get a flippin Yoda icon. Mutter, splutter, & gripe.

Spot;
Somebody's been watching Ice Age methinks. Good one; Scrat could very well work. However, I have it on pretty good information that Mrs. Taz would throw a fit. She likes the pink pig icon that Scrat currently uses.

Soooooo - Scratkin;
You are believing that perhaps by handling a 12 guage 28' barreled BPS that you know how a 20 guage 26" barreled BPS will feel to you? Also keep in mind that Browning has made barrels as short as 20 or 21" for the BPS. Either would significantly change the balance or 'feel' of the gun for you I think.
Remember, the Tangerine may look like an orange, but the taste is quite different. I got that one from a philosopher who was suffering from oxygen deprivation. Snrk!

Had a 26 inch Browning BPS 12 Gauge pump. Hated it. Jammed frequently, Single vs. repeater switch didn't always work, weighed a ton. Made in Japan and bought new. Of course I could have got a lemon but I went out and bought a Rem. 870 and an 11-87 instead - no problems so far. Next one will be a Winchester Super X2 for turkeys

I have an 1187 in a 20 ga, my wife bought it for me an an anniversary present. Shit, after 25 years, I should have gotten something. I like it a lot, but if I want to hunt, I am all over my 12 Ga 1100. Were I to pick a fighting shotgun for CQB, the task falls to my 1100. That's not to say that I don't own fine shotguns, it's just to say that I think I know where to draw lines. I also hunt with the 20 Ga, but it doesn't feel quite the same as my 12 ga..........................Kingpin

Well, there ya go. Everybody's different. My 12 gauge BPS has always worked just fine, so I went out & bought the 20 several years ago. The 12 pre-dates the Invector choke system barrels. It's wearing the plain Jane 30" full choke. The 20 gauge has a 26" barrel with the Invector choke system.
I've also got a Remington 870, but at this time it's barely recognizeable as a shotgun. Right now it looks sorta like a CAR mated with a trench gun in the safe & produced my 870. But somewhere in the mix an anti-aircraft searchlight gene got attached & officer I SWEAR I don't know how that happened! Geez, I though all the mis-cegnation laws were off the books by now.
What's a mother todo?
