In 2012 those two rifles sold at action for $1700.  with ammo.  I think that is just about the original MFSR with the ammo.

Not too long ago I saw someone selling primers for reloading ammo for these. Their was a comment made that whoever bought them could shoot their rifle 500 more times since that would probably be the last of these primers they would ever see. 

They also said you could convert the bolt to a normal firing pin for about the same cost as a new Remington 700. 
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

I wouldn't go as far as to say brilliant but at least Remington is trying to come up with something new.

That whole project was done for gov't.  Rem got paid for a stupid gov't project (our tax dollars).

I'm pretty sure the concept of the "Rifle" was mostly perfected by about 1900. Metals and cartridges have improved but the basic design was there over 100 years ago.
