In my 6.5-08 and 7x57, I've found Varget and 4895 work best.

You are on your way.  get her working for Montana and the kids this year.

Very nice groups MapleHill.

It's going to be a shooter. I see several groups that I think show definate promise.

Keep us updated.

Well, the weather has let up and I got the tractor out and opened the road up out to the range. I got some shooting in before the snow got deep in January, but got snowed in till last week. Anyhow, the new Hart 7-08 is showing some promise. I have tried a few choice powders but stuck with 140gr Sierra Game Kings as that is what I plan to hunt with. I have tried Varget, IMR8208, IMR4895, RL15, IMR4064 and CFE223, so far. All of them, except the CFE, shot at least one sub MOA group and a few with several way under. I got a smokin deal on 5lb of the CFE so I grabbed it, in these troubling times I'll make it work in something. I have a few more powders I wanna try before I pick a winner, but any of these would work quite well. Also, I picked up a BLR in 284 last fall without a magazine. Searched high and low and found a factory magazine and will this sucker shoot! Old surplus 4895 and 140gr Rem CLPSP do very well.
