So much today about Hunting bullet performance.  and so many new models to pick from, each miles better than the ones from last year.

Do you think there has been a significantly better bullet made in the last decade???

YES!
In my mind bullet technology has " Come a long way baby".
The matching bullet to twist has advanced it even beyond that.
With the right bullet and twist you can achieve way more of the potential of any given round. Example. 4570 government.
Old technology cast lead bullet 1500 fps Many inches of drop at 100 yards, Newer technology Tempered lead alloy 1900 fps, less drop.
Current Teck. Copper cup hallow point, I get 2600 fps and even less drop and actual 300 yard gun now.
It is very evident in the long range stuff. Who would have guessed an average shooter could now consistently hit targets at 1000 yards with a 223????
There is a lot more on the subject that I can't speak upon for lack of knowledge.Clap

Absolutely! The Zumwalt class electromagnetic railgun aluminum projectiles are absolutely exciting. Let us not forget, most of what we have has it's roots in defense.
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

I have noticed that BC's are also increasing. The tipped bullets seem to be the best of both worlds in reliable expansion and good BC.

I have been using Sierra Gamechangers for the last few years in my Swede. They are 130 grain and have a BC of .510. I have killed antelope and elk with them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the next 20 years.
