And kicks my but once again!!!
The big one ( 12 pounds ish) is a blue sucker, last year we where fishing same place and the guy just up stream got a state record blue sucker.
The other is a 4 pound red tail sucker.
We had plenty of bites but they went away unharmed.LOL

nice to see a pretty young lady that doesn't mind getting her hands dirty and some fish slime on her....while enjoying time with Gramps.

Is that sunshine I see and real brown dirt???

Suckers are trash fish here.
The blue sucker is a species of concern and spawn in the area we were fishing, are seldom caught.
We watched a guy get the state record last year in the same spot.
This one would have broke the old record that stood for many years, Big fish. The retail suckers also come up stream to spawn here too, there also big and full of fight.
Most the suckers here are white suckers and mountain suckers I think.
We use them for bait too.

This has been interesting. Now I'm not sure what we have around here. When we catch a fish like that we call it a "Carp". I never have noticed if they have a red tail.

They are a trash fish, but they are really fun to catch.
