Came up to camp on friday, hopeful to fish a few days for muskies.
off and on heavy thunderstorms on 2 hour intervals......no fishy!

But at 12 noon I pulled the boat out, now sitting  at my cabin...on wet but dryland.

Visit to son's means I'll not be back for 4+weeks, and out community dock gets pulled out sept 10 or there abouts.  Summer always seems to fly bye.

Son just got a place less then a mile from James Creek launch and a temporary lay-off as well. Guess he'll just have to work on his kayak skills for a couple weeks. Poor guy.

He's young and strong and nothin better to do. A good fight like that would seal the deal on more fishin. That story would be worth hearing about.....funnier if it's was video from shore...little Benny Hill music and fast forward.

Look on bright side, you get to see Grandkids, maybe take one fishing. I hear carp fishing a big deal over there, even more obsessed, with them, than fly fishing is here.   I guess they also have some big catfish there too.

A hundred kilo or so Wells catfish sure would make for some fun future stories to tell.

….Remember when pap threatened to use us for bate, then caught that catfish bigger then us?          They will never forget your birthday or Christmas card!
