I think it's a regional thing.

Kind of like almond, you pronounce the l, while it's on the tree and l is silent on harvested nut. If you've ever harvested almonds, you know, you gotta knock the LL out of them, to get them outta tree.

No such thing as a keeper....they all go back as fast as possible.

I keep hook cutters in boat, so I can cut hooks if stuck to bad.   With plastic cast wall hangers, no need to kill them.  Just call the taxidermist and tell him the size....can even round up!!!

I'm not sure of the correct spelling, but I wish we had them around here. Their is a lake about 60 miles from here that they introduced them into. Some day  they will be big enough to fish for.

Around here they are known as "The fish of 10,000 casts"  I assume that's because their isn't too many of them around.

Wing that name of "the fish of 10,000 casts" fits muskies most everywhere....unless you troll for them

Years ago, F&S did a study.  Seems the Average was 70 hours of fishing to catch a Muskie.  I started to fish for them in  '65.  And that timetable seemed correct for me then.

About 25 years ago, I had that time cut down to about 20 hours.

Trolling with 3-6 rods can be effective because you get to fish various depths at the same time, 3', 6' and 8'.

Thanks for the ideas. I've never fished for them, but I might give it a try.

What do you use for a lure?
