Grandson was over shooting today, pine squirrel made mistake, of seeing what was going on during snack break. Landyr spotted him and asked if he could shoot him, I said go ahead but better be quick, cause he ain't gonna wait. He got it first shot, which is pretty good, considering how small and nervous they are. He was excited about getting it, especially since Dad missed his, last week. Plans have been made for gopher shoot, after the first, as fire conditions and school allows.

My son cleaned and tanned his first kill...a chipmonk.  had it as trophy in his room for 20+ years.

good memories.
