D's doe never knew what hit it. When it landed in the 4 foot of snow, it was DOA. no leg motion, no head rise. Massive bleeding from nose/throat. Was about -2 if I remember.
My night vision leaves a lot to be desired, so nephew drove down the mountainlast week. Hit a big doe, slight panel damage and hair between body sections. NO blood, no doe. She glanced off the front fenter.

Jeez don't go there...... I just mucked over a deer last week with my suburban. Actually got two of the devils. One I hit square on the grill guard and the other one I got just the end of it on the corner of the grill guard. The one on the corner I knocked her about 20 feet and she jumped up and took off. The one I hit square went down and I ran over her. She stopped about mid vehicle. I backed up off her and checked her out, she was DOA and looked like she got run over by a mack truck. Damage to the suburban.... both auxiliary lights that were on the grill guard are toast. The corner of the grill guard flexed back and broke a little bit of the grill and a small dent in the front of the quarter panel but all the main lights and side markers and intact and still working so the old burb is still usable.... Not back for a 20+ year old vehicle.

I think I'm going to slow down and watch the bar ditches a lot closer for a while. I don't want to be reporting a collision in Ol' Rusty. Life just wouldn't be the same.

Hehehe.....they gave him a Camry Hybrid to use til it's repaired. I think he has to use the key to wind it up first!

I'm sure they are efficient, but I'm not sure I would want a hybrid.

Smacked a mulie doing 70 mid January around 7pm in BFE MT, a little place called Opheim. This was a few years back, kind you, but very memorable. That 250lb undressed buck got smacked full on square with my TDK (Throttle Down Kustoms, Moore MT) grill guard dear killer bumper. And he went flying about 20yards and bounced like a rag doll for another 80. Funniest damn site I've seen in a long time. The entire left flank was jelly with the left shoulder shattered as well as the left hip. The left side of his skull was also being held together by only his hide.
Both headlights were broke, the plastic grill demolished, hood lip curled under, and fender horns turned in, all told $5400 in damage. The Rigid light bar mount brackets broke, but that light still works 3years later. Most importantly, I drove home all 400miles to Great Falls that night. |

lots of energy in a moving vehicle. Once was sitting at a taffic light in DC. On the otherside of the intersection a woman started crossing when a taxi hit her full on. I can still see it today; was like she was instantaneously flying. She went about 100 foot and high in the air. Never hear what happened to her, but it wasn't good.
