Flyer. But these guys don't do it for the meat. They
want a big rack on the wall to brag about their "big hunting success." Like the rest of the world today, it is all about image not substance. It is getting worse every year, thankfully I'll not see it when that is everything to everyone. Which ain't to far off. |

My goal is to slow it down until I'm dead. Then it's somebody else's problem.

Helicopter hunting for feral pigs is still OK though, right? I figure they're like giant varmints, even less lovable than gophers, but way more tasty.

Fortunately hunts like this are not legal in Wyoming.
I think I will keep on hunting the old fashoned way. Even if I don't get anything. Wing master |

Generally, pen hunts are legal most places. They are
not under Fish & Game laws; they report to the State Department of Agriculture. they are run like other animal farms (horses, cows, turkeys, pigs, etc), health inspection, etc. Game wardens are not allowed, unless they somehow get wild animals inside the fence. |

really sad to hear that deer was "canned" vs wild, but then here in mid-west many folks kill deer (vs hunting/shooting in wild) over bait piles, usually corn, vs hunting....not so much different...trained deer coming to reliable food source.
Have read about place that does same for duck hunting....has ducks on one area and when they fly to another for baited food there are hunters in blind under flight path...don't know how they train ducks to make that flight tho. |

"... don't know how they train ducks to make that flight tho ..."
Well, according to Darwin, that business will be fairly short-lived. Figure the ducks that are smart enough to learn to fly over the hunters will all get shot, leaving a population of ducks that are not bright enough to learn and thus they won't get shot ... right? |

I just saw this thread. Canned hunts...it is huge business, all over the country. Certainly not my thing. However, to each his own. If this guy has an extra $8500 laying around and an undying urge to shoot a big racked deer, well who am I to judge. Some people don't have the skill, time or wherewithal to get one outside of a fence. I have never considered doing anything like this...don't have a spare $8500 either! But, as hunters and sportsmen we must not fight amongst ourselves, no matter how much you disagree with it. We have a big enough fight against the antis and gun grabbers. Let em do what floats their boat, I am not sure how you could brag about it though??
