I shimmed the mount on my CF CZ FS to clear all the hurtles
that CB mentioned. As CB said just remove the rear sight, as once you put the scope on you'll never use open sights again. The Euro style stock as on the FS is really not a problem with a scope; although it looks to be. If you measure the place where you would cheek the gun, it is about the same as the American. If you only look at the heel of the stock, it is dropped more than the american. At least for me....I find the Euro FS actually lets me cheek the stock with a scope fine, and lets me stay in a slightly straighter stance. With all this prep Goatlocker, I'm expecting to see you at MYGAWDS 2017? |

Goatlocker;
All you really have to do is drive to central Pennsylvania. At that point, you cheerfully coerce JSG to fire up the motor home, stock it with the cheap bourbon he's been known to brag about, and head west. In the area of "THE TERRIBLE TOWEL" you pick up BEAR. Bear will test the evaporation rate of the cheap bourbon and provide entertainment while continuing west. When passing through Minnesota, you may notice a derelict on the side of the road wearing a beanie hat with pink condoms slid over the blades of the propeller. Avoid him. If you let him in he will use up all your .22 ammo plinking at things the rest of the way out here. It is allowed to stop in Wyoming to view Devil's Tower and pick up Wingmaster. However, do not expect him to help with the driving, he's forgotten how to get here. There! One officially sanctioned plan A for your use, free of charge. 900F |

It was my understanding that it was either a half gallon, or the metric equiv. & ran, according to a source I shall not mention, a mere $55.00 per container. 900F |

Magnums are I assume half gallon. Been into some fine warm apple pie homebrew of late and has sidetracked me from the finer bourbons. I feel a case of such libation is required for such a long journey.....or so......both the Knob Creek and the warm apple pie.
Heading past Bears den tomorrow...sorta. Billy Joel is in concert and I'ld like to see him. He's one of those guys I'ld actually like to meet. He seems to have quite the motorcycle collection and custom business, both of which are shared passions of mine. Hope you fellas don't mind, but a 52B with opens welcome? My eyes are just fine cept for that close-up reading sorta thing...alright, so I'm just lookin at the pictures but it's still too close. J |

My son in law produces the apple pie concoction several times a year. You should consider not wasting gas on hauling that stuff & just compare recipes. Leaves room for hauling more Knob Creek. There's no problem bringing an open sighted Winnie 52, but you'll be doing yourself no favors. Start practicing with aluminum pop cans at 100 yards & work out from there. Also figure in the ammo cost/reward factor. With a motor home you should be able to bring a spare that has glass. Just avoid Illinois & transporting an "arsenal" through the insanity zone. Hmmm, I'll be in the Baltimore Md. area the 15th thru 18th this month. Pretty much got the 18th, Monday, free. 900F |

Oh I have history, & relatives, with & in Baltimore. I spent some interesting time there in the mid-60's. However, it's the death of one of those relatives that's requiring my return. The memorial service & scattering of the ashes on the bay take up the 16th & 17th. But, due to airline factors, my flight doesn't take off till 7:00 something PM on Monday. I'm stuck in Laurel, oh joy. 900F |

Was it a one-time thing? Or is the location on a need-to- know basis only? I'm pleading need! Of course it's gotta be within walking distance of the motel too. 900F |

Well, a camper trip from PA to the wild west, collecting antiques along
the way sounds like it's own kinda adventure worth writing home about....err...or is that "what happens on the road, STAYS on the road"? I kinda like the sound of plan A. |

i sat last evening at the Roberto Clemente statute sipping some
Knob Creek out of a paper cup, looking for JSG. Didn't see him, I think he said he looked like a young Paul Newman! Well he got to see Billy Joel with a special appearance by Kenny Chesney. City looked brilliant as the blue sky and sun came out after a short unscheduled sprinkle. |

A much skinnier Billy Joel perhaps. Absolutely right about the weather and sunset. The earlier rain washed down the smog enough to brighten up the whole evening.
Seen many a peoples drinkin out of paper cups....and anything else they could pour into. Might have to borrow somebody's air boat to get better parking for the next trip out. Shoulda wandered over to the gold lot. Seems many a participant of the evening fare committed many a foul act upon the portal-its there. Sadly.....warm night, forties and fifties age set of folks by the tens of thousands, many a site that could not be unseen on my way to my seats. At 13 bucks a beer, I remained sober. Shoulda called me J |

Back around 90 or 91, was on deployment to the NSWU in Subic Bay
Philipines. Billy Joel came and did a concert there for the Active duty. A fellow chief at the unit with me who was an avid fisherman and had his own boat took Joel out for a fishing trip day after the concert. I asked if they caught much and he said the tuna bite was on but Joel never reeled one in cause he was snookered the whole time drinking the hard stuff. Didnt get sea sick though.
