I've been wanting one of these for about a year, Sig
Sauer P938 9mm And how it looks now, This thing has become my favorite carry piece. Light and easy to carry, and accurate. Buddy was with when I went and picked it up, he was looking at a Ruger 22/45 Lite 22lr pistol with a threaded barrel, he just got his suppressor permit. Said he would buy it if he could sell the 22/45 he has now. I took it off his hands for $200. huntin1 Edited by huntin1 |

I love that Hogue gripped P938. It's on my list. My carry guns have gotten smaller, even though I have large hands. The 938 with the extended mag fits as good as any micro pistol. I toyed with the Glock P43 for a while, but after handling the rubber gripped P938, I was sold. Word is that it's also very reliable. Although not really a 1911 mechanism, the controls are similar enough.
One thing about Sigs - they work. My current carry piece is a Sig Ultra 1911, which is much lighter than my past carry pistol, with just enough grip for me to get a grip. I've replaced all the internals, however. The originals were MIM and poorly finished. The trigger was stupid heavy and sloppy for a 1911. I haven't had a single feed or ejection failure, regardless of ammo. No tweaking of the timing, extraction, etc. I've kind of become enamored with external extractors. Could be a phase. The 938 has a replacement "Ghost Trigger" available from Sig that is supposed to help that pistol's marginal trigger. That's a cincher for me, along with an extra extended mag ($95 from Sig - yikes!). Man, the price has jumped. Too many good reviews. Edited by Muleskinner |

The trigger on the 938 is a bit stiff for a single
action. I have about 1500 rounds through mine and the trigger is getting better. I love this little pistol, it is in my pocket always. The stainless Ruger above has been replaced with this: Though I loved shooting that old 22/45, this new one has a threaded barrel. SilencerCo Warlock suppressor is on the way. Edited by huntin1 |
