Hi guys,

I've just bought one of these in 12g and I love it. I bought it for when my
family and I go for outings in the bush. I wanted something light and
handy and I wanted external hammers for safety. The Rossi seemed to
fit the bill and it was only $300!
I re-did the stock finish, shortened the butt by an inch and added a
recoil pad and shortened the barrels to 16" (legal in my area) for a total
length of just 30".
It is now light, super fast to use, super handy and super lethal! At fifteen
meters it will put all 9 pellets of Federal load of SG 00 into about 6" -
and right where the bead says it will. That is awesome defensive-range
performance for anything from goats, pigs to feral dogs. Heck, I'd even
use it on deer at that range..
If anyone see's one of these Rossi's for sale, and they're looking for a
coach gun - snap it up! They are rugged and reliable and with the
shortened barrels they look fantastic!

Also can't speak more highly of the Federal Powershok 2 3/4 00
Buckshot. You get a full 1325fps velocity and really tight patterns - at
least I did, heaps tighter than the Super X buckshot.
It's pretty cheap too...

Lots of the Rossi hammer guns used in the Cowboy Action shooting games here it the states. not so common to find here anymore. Enjoy your new shotgun...sounds like you did a neat job in your specialization on your gun.
