Early season, bear, deer with rifle, bow, black powder is over.

hunted 4 of the 6 days in the central mountain region, absolutely great.  a little too HOT, it hit 78 oF one day, but the bugs were not real bad, some nice ratlers sunning themselves (didn't take the snake chaps!).

Leaves fell all week in the Wilds of PA, so most are on the ground, making the deer dig for them..just pushing leaves around with nose.

Had 4 whitetails in range (50 yards or less).  Past them, too hot to gut and drag.    Lots of logging going on so got a chain saw melody most days.

Might now get excited about some local archery

Can't really complain about being stuck outdoors on a beautiful fall day even if the game won't cooperate. It still beats workin!

Passed on 4 does (my doe tags) standing broad side under 50 yards.  One was there for about 20+ minutes.

just seemed like too much work in the hot weather to gut and drag...then a problem keeping the meat cold till I got checked out of hotel and to my usual meat processor.

But it was great time.  Thinking of it as 'prep' times for December.

At the end of the hunt, I spent some time finding a deer processor, that was local, so next time the heat will not be a factor in my decision.
