Do we really need a roto-moulded cooler for our hunting trips for say a week ? Two weeks ?
Some are sized in liters, some in quarts . Liters are bigger right ?

Asked this one another site one guy came up with ice is cheaper than the high $$$ coolers .

How big a cooler ya'll think is good for one Antelope ,or one big deer ,cut and wrapped .

The wife and I are looking at 75 quart, for the trailer for traveling ,and myself for hunting .

Yeti is out , wont even look at one . Son likes Pelican, way up there ,all my old coolers were always Igloo . Time for a new one . What do ya'll say ?

I have had and used a lot of coolers over the years. I have a couple of the roto-molded coolers. I bought them when they were on big sales. Are they worth it?? I don't know. Do they keep ice and food cooler longer? Absolutely yes, however, they are much heavier and cost a lot more. It all comes down to insulation. I can and have taken normal coolers and packed them with ice and food and wrapped the cooler in a couple of heavy blankets and kept it out of the sun and was easily able to keep ice for a week. If you really want to keep ice for the longest time put it in a smaller cooler and then put that smaller cooler in a bigger cooler and keep it out of the sun. I would not be surprised if you could keep ice 10 days or more this way.

If I had to do it over again I don't think I would spend the money on a high end cooler. I would rather have several different sized regular coolers and just mange the coolers according to what I need to do.
