Local smith died.

How difficult would it be to BEND a bolt handle on a 22 Marlin.

It has a big curve and doesn't clear the scope.  I don't have bending blocks nor a acy torch.

Anyone do this?

I've never done it, but I don't think it would be all that bad to do it yourself.

I'm thinking if you make a fixture and are in the area I have an accetalene torch.

might take you up on that.  need to shield from heat the square section where it attaches to the bolt body.  that is the locking lug.
