most .22lr box endflaps now say "range 1 1/2 miles. 45* angle would put it at Maximum range discounting winds.

Squirrels are just in season.  I like to hunt with a 22 rifle.

Back in "the day" the end flap use to say "Careful    Range 1 mile" as a warning.  since  squirrel shots are usually up in a tree, At a 45 degree angle, how far would a LR go??????

My shots try to be with the trunk as a backstop, but certainly one can miss.
