The following is a draft of a proposed postal shoot.  thanks to Robert for most of it.  Please review and comment.  then we will finalize the rules.  all comments welcome, especially typos.

2018 Summer Postal Shoot Rules

1.   MEMBERS ONLY!  But with new software joining is fast and FREE.

2.   Honor system, we must trust our fellow shooters and BSB members.

3.  The opening date is 6/1/2018 last date is 7/15/2018  must be shot and POSTMARK during these dates.  Fee is $10 for one target with 5 bullseye official signed target.

4. Mail entrance fee along with entered target to Judge.

5.  Any centerfire firearm, any sight\scope; but must be under 13 1/2 pounds with scope and bi-pod if used.  Anything attached to the rifle is computed in this weight limit.

6.  100yd target http://targets.s3.amazonaws.com/PDF/Bullseye1Multi.pdf   You should download the target on 8.5x11 paper, print on landscape mode (sideways),no magnification or inlargement.  If you desire a white of orange center, a sticker can be added, BUT it must be concentric with the rings, and not cover any part of a scoring line.  Thicker stock of paper is fine,  and encouraged for scoring ease.

Target is scored 6 thru X, one shot per target, five shots per target sheet, best possible score 50-5X, Xs are to be used for tie breaking purposes.  Shot that breaks the line, is scored at higher value.

A shot taken at the Logo in the bottom center, that scores inside the logo will be used as a tie breaker.  this is optional, but anyone doing it will get at least honorable mention.

7.  Targets submitted must have legible :  Shooters name,  distance, rifle, cartridge, (ammunition\load and bullet used-optional).  Include your address for prize money to be sent!  Anyone can donate their winnings to BSB if they want.

8.  Outdoor 100 yard range. Any shooting position, including bench rest.  If fired from a bench, separate front and/or rear supports are allowed, but rifle must be free recoiling (no gun vises/lead sled, etc).  Front bi-pod is ok if shooter wishes.

9.  Mailed targets will be opened and scored AFTER the closing date.  A PM on here will get you the address to send your entrance fee and target.  Since the highest score will not be known until after close, you can submit more than one official target, as your shooting skills progress.  You can enter  as many  official targets as you want with appropriate entrance fee.

10.  The judge may enter also, as results will not be available to him until the close.

11.  PRIZE. The winner will split the pot with the  remaining balance donated to BBS  fund.

12. WINGMASTER will be the judge (and eligible to participate).  Judge’s decisions are final..

If you are interested....please list your screen name on this thread so we can contact you should things change.

  THANKS

So June 1st, thru July 15th postmark?

13 1/2lbs, including bolt and bipod (if used) or bare rifle/scope?

Printed in landscape or portrait? on 8 1/2 x 11 targets print different size/shape on portrait vs landscape orientation. (target was meant to be printed in landscape)

Optional

Bonus bragging rights, sixth shot @ deer in NSSF logo, in bottom center? Hit either person in logo, subjects you to razing.

If anyone needs my address send me a PM.

Wing master
